The ACSR/AS conductor is used as bare overhead transmission and as primary and secondary distribution cable.
ACSR/AS offers strength characteristics similar to ACSR, along with slightly greater capacity and resistance to corrosion due to aluminum-clad-ding of the steel core wires.
The ACSR/AS conductor is formed by several wires of Aluminium and Aluminum-clad steel, stranded in concentric layers.
